Our daughter Ella has been attending Kingswood Academy since Feb 2009 and she absolutely loves it! It is wonderful knowing that Ella is in a safe, caring environment, and that she is learning while having fun! The teachers are caring, nurturing and kind…exactly what is needed for the transition between home and daycare. We especially love that Kingswood Academy embraces diversity by celebrating many cultural holidays including Chinese New Year. The teachers and Debra have gone above and beyond to celebrate our daughter’s Chinese heritage. Last year, the CNY celebration was extended so she could celebrate with them her first week of daycare. After this year’s weeklong celebration they made a beautiful poster of Ella celebrating Chinese New Year with her classmates and it brought me to tears! Debra and the Kingswood staff maintain excellent communication with parents through regular emails and notices on the bulletin board and white boards. They always take the time to discuss how Ella’s day was. We almost feel like we have spent the day with her after reading the updates and enjoying the pictures! Her teachers often write us little notes to let us know something funny or cute that happened during the day. These extra little touches make us feel like we are part of her day and demonstrates their passion for their profession. Ella learns something new everyday. She even started writing her own name at age 2.5! She knows her alphabet, numbers and days of the week! We couldn’t be happier at Kingswood Academy and would recommend them without hesitation!
